I'm glad to see you branch out to investigate ancient reptiles. I'm also impressed you went through so many of *my* photos that you saw the giant lobster of Shediac. You'll be glad to know that a Web search on "aaron bauer hagfish" revealed a lot of the scholarly papers you wrote during the 1980s. I still think of the Hagfish Christmas Carol you wrote. I think I still have the whole thing memorized: Yuletide cheer I'll spread right here, As if it were a slime trail. Just tie me in knots 'cause I look like some snots As you place me in a slime pail. So have a nice break. Though I look like a snake, I shall remain ever, The Hagfish. I myself was recently moved to rewrite "Jingle Bells" in honor of the town of Kankakee, Illinois, which I passed through during Thanksgiving vacation: Marching on toward death, Across the fields I go, Defying all the wind And the coldness and the snow. I've come to Kankakee Because I am perverse. You may think it's bad, But trust me, I've seen worse. But anyway, enough bad poetry for one night...
